Gardening
With the help of our child-size gardening tools and beautiful plot of land designed for planting, the children get a hands-on lesson on botany each week. Together, they plant fruits, vegetables, and flowers. The students love to dig, plant, and water the seeds.
The joy on their faces when the fruit of their labor starts to bloom is a sight to behold! Teaching children about healthy eating habits starts by learning where our food comes from! From farm to table has never come more alive.

Musical Movement
Together with our talented music teachers and their instruments, the children explore music in a child-friendly manner. Using a variety of unique instruments, they discover beats, rhythms, and the different sounds and tunes of instruments. They are also introduced to Hebrew songs related to the Holidays in our calendar. This is a fabulous combination class of music and Hebrew language.

Art
Our Atelierista, art teacher, leads process-based art experiences for the entire school. Children are encouraged to explore a wide variety of materials and textures, while also being introduced to famous artists and their unique techniques. Much of this work happens at the outdoor Exploration Table, where creativity and discovery come alive.
Clay has become an essential part of our Art program in recent years. Children squish, squeeze, pull, and shape the clay—developing both large and small muscles, improving dexterity, and strengthening hand-eye coordination. Working with clay also fosters focus, patience, and creativity, as children connect their projects to unit themes they are exploring in small group learning.
At The Gan Frida, art is not just an activity—it is an integral part of learning, expression, and exploration woven throughout the day.

Kidokinetics
Gross motor play with Kidokinetics’ skilled coaches has been an exhilarating highlight of the past years! In North Miami, children enjoy activities on our spacious sports field in the Gimmel Garden, while in Sunny Isles they make the most of our designated outdoor play areas. When needed, sessions can also be brought indoors to the comfort of the air-conditioned classrooms. Using scoopers, balls, hula hoops, and more, coaches guide the children through 30 minutes of fun group games that build gross-motor development and turn-taking skills. These sessions take place once a week in the mornings.

Outdoor Classroom
With our beautiful outdoors facilities, we have created shaded areas for endless amounts of exploration. Children will have the opportunities to explore open-ended materials, loose part and arts during outdoor play and other set times during the day. We consider our time outside as impactful as our time indoors and our facility is enriched with various learning opportunities, hence the name “Outdoor Classroom.”

Tot Shabbat
Monthly Tot Shabbats, the last Friday of every month, we gather together as a school family, with our extended families to celebrate Shabbat together.

Zumba
We will be enjoying fun, interactive, sensory-based gross-motor activities biweekly.

Challah Baking
Each Friday, the children have a delightful opportunity to braid Challah dough for Shabbat to bring home freshly baked. This is a highlight of the week and all the children look forward to it!
